Ordering
What happens after I place an order?
As soon as we have processed your order, an order confirmation or proforma invoice will be sent to the e-mail address you supplied when ordering. It is very important that you provide a valid e-mail address when placing your order.
Can anyone order from Kreisler?
Publications:
We accept orders from both private individuals and businesses. However, private individuals will be requested to prepay their orders.
Components:
The Components department accepts orders from companies only.
All our customers must comply with all Dutch and U.S. Export Administration Regulations when purchasing U.S. made goods or goods produced using U.S. technology.
Full compliance is your responsibility; many products can not be re-exported freely. Contact us when in doubt. See also: http://www.gpo.gov/bis/
Please note that all EU based companies must provide a valid VAT number.

I haven't received my order confirmation by e-mail, what should I do?
Sending a confirmation of your order is a standard practice. However, receiving that e-mail confirmation in your inbox may not be.
- Check any spam filters that you have installed, it is possible that your confirmation was snagged by an errant spam filter. You can change that by "whitelisting" us.
- Make sure you supplied a valid e-mail address and phone number when submitting your order.
- If you have not heard from us within 24 hours, please contact us for assistance.
How long does it take to process my order?
We are constantly checking our e-mails and orders are processed the same day.
If you pre-order a future publication, there will be information available on your order confirmation about when you should expect it.
Delivery of a standard or publication that is already in print but not in our stock, should generally take no longer than a few days before you receive it.
Titles in stock will be shipped the same day if ordered before 3.00 p.m (15.00h).
Are my online orders final?
That depends on your status!
New customers:
If you have not ordered from Kreisler before, you are considered a 'new customer'.
Your order is not final until you accept our temporary order confirmation, sent to you by e-mail in PDF. The total cost of the order, including the shipping/handling costs and delivery time will be stated. We ask you for approval first. If you wish to add or delete items, change address details etc. you can choose to do so. After accepting our temporary order confirmation, the order will be marked as final. Please note that in some cases prepayment may be required.
Existing customers:
As orders from existing EU customers are delivered on the terms previously agreed upon, their orders are marked as final.
Existing customers can use their received login details when ordering, this will speed up the process.

I haven't found the publication I was looking for on your website, can I still order it?
Yes, of course! At this moment we only show our bestsellers on the website, just to give you an idea of our product range. However, we can supply (almost) every standard or publication there is.
Please contact us or send us an RFQ with your request!
Can I order out-of-print or used books?
Yes! Please provide us with full title and edition of the book you're looking for. If it's available, we will find it!
Will you automatically notify me when updates are available?
Yes. We will send you a notification e-mail if the publication you purchased has been updated. However, to be notified when updates of related publications are available, please sign up for our free Newsletter. It will keep you informed about new publications.
Are booksellers / educational institutes entitled to a trade discount?
Yes, on most of the publications, not all. Please contact us for more information.
Payment
What are the payment options?
We provide a number of payment options including bank transfer and credit card (VISA or Mastercard only). Overall, EU customers receive invoices in Euros. All other customers can often choose to pay in US Dollar, Pounds Sterling or Euros.
Do I have to pay for my order online?
No. At this moment we don't offer online payment in our webshop. Depending on the payment terms we've set up with your company we will send you an invoice for the items you purchase, or send you a proforma invoice for prepayment. All orders are subject to our Conditions of Sale.

Will I receive my invoice with my order?
Generally, your invoice will be sent by e-mail (in PDF), as soon as your order has shipped. Please note that no copy will follow by post. If you prefer that the invoice is sent in hardcopy, please let us know.
If you have pre-paid for your order, the invoice will confirm that you have paid and a receipt of the transaction will follow by e-mail as well.
Non-EU shipments will include an invoice for customs.
Can I have my invoice electronically?
Absolutely. We prefer to provide electronic invoices. In special circumstances, please inform us that you require a paper copy of your invoice.
Do I have to pay bank charges?
Sometimes when transferring funds a charge is made by the bank. Please note that as stated in our Conditions of Sale all bank charges must be paid in full by the buyer.
Is it safe to pay by credit card?
Completely. You don't have to pay for your order online. Credit card details can be given by phone or fax. Credit card orders are processed in our Ogone system. Ogone is the leading European Payment Service Provider. Your credit card details will not be kept on file.
Do you accept Paypal payments?
No, not at this moment. However, we're working on it and will be able to accept Paypal payments in the near future.
When will my credit card be charged?
That depends on the delivery time of your order. In general, your credit card will be charged the day prior to the shipment.
How will the charge show up on my credit card?
The charge will appear on your credit card with the reference you gave us when you placed the order.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Depending on the type of organisation you are from, the country it is based in and the item you order, you may be required by law to pay VAT.
The prices of the books are always mentioned VAT excluded of 6%.
The prices of the components & related electronic products, CD-ROM, DVD, PDF and online products exclude a VAT of 19%.
What are the rules for international payment?
All international non-EU orders must be prepaid, unless we've agreed upon other payment terms with your company. Your items will not be shipped until payment is received.
If you are paying by wire transfer, be advised that all bank costs are for your account. Please also note that payments from certain less international orientated banks may take up to a week to hit our bank. It is recommendable to send us a copy of your T/T to speed things up.
What will this product cost me in my local currency?
We process transactions in EUR, USD, and GBP. We recommend that, if you do not use one of these three currencies, you use an online currency converter to find out the approximate cost in your local currency.
In which currency are your prices mentioned?
The prices indicated on the website are in Euros, VAT excluded and they may be subject to change due to price and sudden currency fluctuations.
Shipping
What are my shipping options?
Printed editions will be shipped via regular mail or UPS, depending on the total cost of order. If you prefer shipment on your own DHL, FedEx or UPS account, no problem!

As all our items come from different publishers, there's no flat shipping rate available in our web shop at this moment. However, your shipping/handling costs will show on your order confirmation, waiting for your approval (for new customers).
How do you compute the total shipping costs?
Shipping costs are directly related to the size & weight of the package. In addition, we factor in an additional amount to cover packing materials, and any special handling considerations that may be required to ship the package.
Where do your products ship from?
Publications:
Most products are shipped from our office in The Netherlands.
All priced products leaving Kreisler Import BV remain the property of Kreisler until the goods are paid for.
Sometimes we have international publishers ship directly to your address.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to most international locations. Non-EU orders may take up to 10 business days for delivery, EU countries 2-5 days.
If I place an international order, what will be the shipping costs?
Shipping costs are determined separately for each shipment, based on the destination and the number of items ordered. To calculate the specific shipping cost for your order, simply add the items you wish to purchase to your shopping cart and send us your order. We will get back to you with a (temporary) order confirmation on which the shipping costs are stated. In some cases we will give you two shipping options.

How quickly can you send my package?
If available from stock, your order will be delivered the next day or second day.
The delivery time of your order will be mentioned on the order confirmation. If the delivery time is listed as 3 to 5 days, then it is mostly impossible to ship it to you by the next day.

Can I follow my package in transit / do you offer Track & Trace?
Sure. When your package is shipped with UPS, you'll receive an e-mail with a tracking number when we ship your order. This will contain a link to the UPS website to see the current status and location of your package. However, if your package is shipped with regular mail, there's no option to track and trace.
What about customs fees or duties in my country?
Publications:
Since most books are shipped from within The Netherlands, there are never any customs fees or duties on Netherlands-based orders. However, any duties, taxes, or customs-related costs imposed by another destination country are the sole responsibility of the customer/recipient and will not be paid for or reimbursed by Kreisler Import BV at any time for any reason.
Do I need to be there when the package arrives?
Yes, if shipped with UPS, DHL, FedEx or any other courier, you need to sign for delivery.
Other
Do you accept returns?
- Publications:
It's easy to return an item if you're not satisfied. If we have shipped you the wrong book or CD, or if the ordered items arrive in damaged condition, we will gladly accept these returns.
Most Items
Returns are accepted within 7 days of the date that you received your order. Items must be returned in their original condition; shrink-wrapped products must be unopened.
If there is an error on our part related to your order, we will either send you a replacement of the ordered item or issue a credit for your order and any applicable shipping charges.
If you have ordered the wrong title or item, returns may be subject to a restocking fee up to 25%. In that case, shipping & handling charges cannot be refunded.
Items that cannot be returned
Purchases of downloadable documents, CDs, Subscription services, database access, age-dated materials or bulk orders of 15 or more copies are final and cannot be returned for refund or credit. If you are dissatisfied with the digital purchase, please contact us.
RMA
Prior to returning any product, it will be necessary to contact us to receive a Return Material Authorization (RMA) Number.
Please download and fill out this RMA form and fax or e-mail it to us. You will then receive a RMA number. This number should be plainly visible on the outside of the package. Components, standards, books, DVDs and CDs (in their original, unopened, shrink-wrapped condition) can be mailed with the original packing slip to:

Can I re-export products purchased from Kreisler?
You can only purchase goods of U.S. origin or produced using U.S. technology from Kreisler if you fully comply with the U.S. Export Administration Regulations. For more information please see: http://www.gpo.gov/bis/.
These goods may have export restrictions and even need Export Licenses. You are responsible for compliance to these regulations.
